Welcome to
Scribbles Day Nursery
The Cove

An Ofsted rated 'Good' in ALL areas nursery on the Beacon Park Estate in Gorleston-on-Sea.
At The Cove we strive to provide our children with the best care, encouraging stimulating learning environments with the help of our dedicated teams of practitioners. With direct access to Bluebell Woods and nearby amenities, we embrace the local community and work alongside them to ensure our children have not only opportunities to learn, grow and regulate - but also to build a deeper understanding of both everything around us, and their sense of selves.
Our curriculum is based on our own childcare best practices and is underpinned by the Department of Education's (DoE) framework for children under five - the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), while working in partnerships with all families.
What Do Our Parents Say?

Bluebell Woods
Right next door to our setting we have Bluebell Woods - a local woodland area perfect for exploring the outdoors with the children to enhance their learning, senses and problem solving skills!
Our Mental Health Champion

We have our very own dedicated Mental Health Champion at The Cove! Chloe, our Deputy Manager, has completed the Children's and Young People's Mental Health Champion Course via the LINK Project! Chloe's role is to provide support to children with their feelings and emotions and provide support for their families too!
Chloe has devised a Colour Monster bag to support the work she does with children and their families. These resources are available to take on home, on request.

Jofli the Bear

Say Hello to Jofli Bear - he loves to travel with our children all over the world! From the beaches of Norfolk to the Central America's, Jofli keeps our children company on holidays as a way to share his travels with all of his Scribbles friends!
Jofli uses his backpack and diary to keep track of all of his exciting and brilliant holidays - and even has an online journal and map to interact with!
If you'd like to take Jofli out for a weekend, let us know - even a simple trip to the zoo is a trip for Jofli!

Woodland Court Care Home
We work closely with Woodland Court - a local care home to the Beacon Park Estate. We work in collaboration to integrate the older and newer generations, allowing our children to meet and interact with new people, while also gaining new skills and learning about different people and their lives!
