SEND Needs

sensory room.jpg

We at Scribbles believe every child is entitled to equal opportunities and support to further their development and to combat developmental delays with early intervention. Throughout our settings, we are committed to closing the developmental gap and have put in place intervention schemes for those who need it - including the use of the sensory rooms in some settings, having an on-site SENCO and practitioners who specialise in supporting key workers with strategies and interventions to support children when needed.

Our sensory rooms are an environment that has been created for the purpose of providing our children a place where their senses can be stimulated or provide a place for them to relax and have therapeutic activities to enhance their development. We use this space to create interventions on an individual child's development, and use this as a quiet space for children to calm and learn to regulate emotions thoroughly with adult support.

We have a dedicated SENCO across all our nurseries and in this role, they implement and oversee developmental strategies in place within the setting and monitor progress, while identifying any needs our children may have.

Our SENCO can be contacted via SEN@scribblesdaynurserygroup.com.
